The Public Draft Redstone Arsenal Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) is now available for a 30-day public review and comment period.  The JLUS documents are made up of the Background Report and the JLUS Report.  The Background Report provides background on the JLUS process, the Study Area and communities involved in the project, Redstone Arsenal missions and operations, and a detailed assessment of the compatibility issues identified through the process.  The JLUS Report provides a summary of the Background Report chapters and contains the Implementation Plan that includes the recommended strategies identified to address the compatibility issues. 

Each document can be downloaded by clicking on the associated links below.  A comment form spreadsheet is also available for download.  This spreadsheet can be used to submit comments on the Public Draft documents.  Comments can also be submitted through this website by clicking the “Send Comments” tab in the upper left-hand corner.

The Public Draft review and comment period runs from October 15 through November 15, 2018.  Please submit all comments either through the project website, or by emailing the comment tracker spreadsheet to Scott Erwin with the City of Huntsville by Thursday, November 15, 2018.  This email address is being protected from spambots. The Public Draft JLUS Report was released and posted on the project website on October 15 for a 30-day review and comment period that will end on November 15. The City of Huntsville hosted the final public workshop for attendees to learn about the Public Draft JLUS Report and understand the key compatibility findings and recommendations. The workshop provided a brief presentation on the JLUS process and documents. There were hard copy reports available for review. The presentation and JLUS reports are on the website.

Written public comments on the draft were accepted at the workshop and can be submitted through the project website up until the end of the comment period.
